  • Server log files:
    The hosting provider automatically collects technical access data (see section 3). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, legitimate interest in the security and operation of the website.

  • Visitor statistics (Umami):
    Cookie-free statistics on how the website is used (see section 5). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, legitimate interest in understanding how the website is used and improving its content.

  • Contact via email or phone:
    Data provided are processed to handle the request. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual or contractual measures) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for general inquiries.


3. Server Log Files (Hosting)

This website is provided as a static offering via a hosting service. The hosting provider automatically collects and stores the following information in server log files:

  • IP address of the requesting device (generally stored in anonymised/truncated form)
  • Date and time of the request
  • Name and URL of the requested file
  • Amount of data transferred
  • HTTP status code
  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system
  • Referring URL (Referrer)

These data are not combined with other data sources. Retention period depends on technical requirements and is generally 30 days.

4. Contact via Email or Phone

This website has no contact form. Contact is possible exclusively via email or phone. Data provided (name, email address, phone number, message content) are processed solely to handle the request and any follow-up. No transfer to third parties without consent. Retention period depends on the purpose of processing and applicable statutory retention obligations.


5. Cookies, Local Storage and Visitor Statistics

Cookies: This website sets no cookies. No marketing cookies, social media plugins or embedded third-party media are used.

Local storage: At most two entries are kept in your browser's local storage (localStorage): that you have closed the notice at the bottom of the screen and, if you object, that visitor statistics are disabled for this browser. These entries are not transmitted and can be deleted at any time in your browser settings.

Visitor statistics (Umami): The open-source software Umami is used to understand how the website is visited. It works without cookies and without cross-device profiles. Each page view processes the following data:

  • page and page title viewed, date and time
  • referrer URL (previously visited page)
  • browser type, operating system and device type
  • country, region and city, derived from the IP address

The IP address is not stored. An identifier is generated from the IP address, browser data and a regularly changing random value in order to group page views of the same session; there is no recognition over longer periods or across other websites. The data are evaluated only in aggregated form and are not combined with other data.

Umami is operated without an external analytics provider, on a server rented from RackNerd LLC. The server is currently located in Buffalo (New York, USA); the data are therefore transferred to the USA. A move to a server within the European Union is planned for December 2026.

The data are deleted as soon as they are no longer needed for evaluation, at the latest after 24 months.

Objection: You can object to visitor statistics at any time. After clicking the button below, Umami will no longer be loaded in this browser. The setting applies to this browser and device and can be reversed here.

6. Transfer of Data to Third Parties

Personal data are transferred to third parties only:

  • to the hosting provider as data processor under Art. 28 GDPR, for technical operation of the server;

  • to RackNerd LLC (USA) as provider of the server on which the visitor statistics are operated (see section 5);

  • where required by law or necessary for the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims.

No transfer to advertising networks, external analytics services or affiliate networks takes place.


7. Data Security

This website is served over an HTTPS-encrypted connection (TLS). Appropriate technical and organisational measures are in place to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse.


8. Links to External Websites

This website may contain links to external websites. The respective operators are responsible for data protection on those sites. This privacy policy applies exclusively to this website.
